The 7th Gas Separation Plant (GSP7) Project
PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) plans to construct the 7th Gas Separation Plant (GSP7) on approximately 180,000 square meters in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong province, to replace the current production capacity of Gas Separation Plant no.1 (GSP1) which has been operating for over 30 years. The GSP7 is designed for the total capacity of 460 MMSCFD feed gas, received from the existing Rayong Gas Separation Plant to recover Ethane (C2) and fractionate heavier hydrocarbon to be gas/liquid products such as Propane (C3), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG / C3+C4) and Natural Gasoline Liquid (NGL / C5+). The sales gas (Methane / C1) and related products from GSP7 shall be transferred back to the existing Rayong Gas Separation plant via the new interconnecting piping system for quality control prior sent to various customer sectors.
PTT proposed the 7th Gas Separation Plant (GSP7) project to participate in Integrity Pact (IP) during fiscal year 2021. This program is collaboration of 3 parties including Government agency (project’s owner), Bidders and the Observer who expertise in particular procurement project, independent and honest by participating and observing from the preparation of Term of Reference (TOR) until the project is complete, in order to ensure transparency of whole project. This project has been accepted by the Anti-Corruption committee in the meeting no. 3/2020 since December 8th, 2020 and kick-off with Independent Observer Committee on February 19th , 2021.
The procurement of EPC Contractor for the 7th Gas Separation Plant (GSP7) project has been announced on PTT Procurement Website since December 21st, 2020 and the Bangkok Post, English newspaper during December 21st – 30th, 2020. Finally, there are 12 Bidders intending to purchase Bid during purchasing period (January 4th – 22nd, 2021).
